Last Wednesday 16th of May the new musical project of Lizfera was presented at the Centro de Arte Contemporaneo de Quito, within an event in extended hours called Azares.
Lizfera is currently enjoying an artistic-musical residency in Ecuador, specifically in the city of Quito. This residence is granted by Artefacto Sonoro. In her debut Lizfera was accompanied to the saxophone by Roberto Tercero, from Mejico who is sharing with her the residence.
The work that Lizfera was presenting is based on artistic – musical experimentation and is based on cymatics, although there is also part of an anthropological research on creativity in the musical field and the unconscious.
Also given the circumstance of residing in Ecuador, Lizfera has been able to approach one of the indigenous nations, as is the case of the Quechua or Kitwua community. This approach has taken place both in Cotacatchi and in the jungle of the Amazon.
From all this, the launching platform is born to start with this new musical proposal, which draws and sculpts sounds and explores the origins of music.
Lizfera will also be performing on May 24 at the Café Democrático del Cac, in Quito, this time with a slightly more extended proposal, where the audiovisual part will also be expanded.
